Bolstering Economic Confidence is Key

It is a delight to see that the new Budget has adopted a number of recommendations by CGCC to address these issues, including the removal of the “harsh measures” for the property market, the expansion of the scope of government bonds, and concrete measures in other areas such as to rebuild business confidence.

2023-04

The “Two Sessions” this year affirmed high-quality development as the first and foremost task in building a modern socialist country in all aspects. This will allow Hong Kong’s industrial and business sectors to find new opportunities using their Mainland and overseas networks and connections.

2023-03

We must make up for lost time as normalcy is fully resumed for economic development. Through wholistic participation in the development of the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong can accelerate its integration into the country’s development in the new era.

2023-02

CGCC expects to see the Budget help the local business community capture opportunities from the country’s “dual-circulation” development, and to deepen cooperation with the Mainland in such areas as finance and I&T.

2023-01

The full resumption of normal travel will help significantly boost the recovery of
Hong Kong’s economy and fuel various industries with new growth impetus.

2022-12

In the new era, the Hong Kong business has the ability to take forward closer regional cooperation by means of citizen diplomacy.
