Hong Kong will have to ensure that quarantine-free travel with both sides will resume in a progressive and orderly manner, with a fine balance between the risks posed by the epidemic and the urgency for economic development.

The new Policy Address should aim at achieving good governance and
guiding Hong Kong to better development by leveraging the central government’s support.

President Xi emphasized that Hong Kong enjoys good conditions and broad space for development thanks to its special status.

CGCC will actively encourage members and the business community to earnestly study and understand the spirit of President Xi’s speech, and fully support the effective governance in accordance with the law of the new-term HKSAR Government, working together to write a new chapter of Hong Kong.
